Deeply rooted in Greece’s traditions and culture, Holeva has made a name for himself in haute couture and beyond, with ventures into film and television. Let’s explore his brilliant journey, his brand, notable collaborations, and his influence on the global fashion scene.
The Journey of Vlassi Holeva
From a young age, Vlassi Holeva displayed a curious eye for the world around him. Fascinated by the colors and textures of nature, he often drew on old scraps of paper, creating shapes that only he could imagine. His family encouraged his aspirations, giving him the freedom to dream.

This transition brought challenges, but he stood out for his ability to turn difficulties into opportunities, always believing that fashion is a form of personal and cultural expression.
A Career in Fashion
From the beginning, Holeva demonstrated a keen eye for elegance and glamour. His creations, particularly bridal gowns and haute couture pieces, are characterized by clean lines, luxurious fabrics, and meticulous details. He is known for using materials such as silk chiffon, silk satin, taffeta, and delicate French lace, often adorned with embroidery and sequins that evoke the vibrant colors of the Aegean Sea and the sophistication of classic European fashion.
One of Holeva’s trademarks is his ability to blend Greek traditions with contemporary influences, creating pieces that celebrate both cultural heritage and modernity. His eponymous brand has showcased collections at renowned fashion events, including New York Fashion Week, Palm Beach Fashion Week (at Mar-a-Lago), The Oscars, Cannes Film Festival, and Berlin Film Festival.

Brand Expansion and New Projects
In the United States
Although his atelier is located in Athens, Greece, Vlassi maintains an exclusive collaboration with JIMMY’S Boutique, on 72nd St and Lexington Avenue in New York. “There, we present our haute couture collection, with unique and made-to-measure dresses. In partnership with the fabulous boutique owners, now in their third generation, we create exclusive pieces for a prestigious clientele through private consultations,” Holeva explains.
After the pandemic, he also plans partnerships with resort boutiques across the United States and intends to donate pieces from his collections to charities supporting children in various fields, such as education and healthcare.
International Expansion
Currently, his resort collections are available at SOMERO boutiques on the Greek islands of Mykonos and Paros. “We are planning to open a SOMERO boutique in Miami this year or next, exclusively for our resort collection, footwear, and accessories. Our future expansion plans include St. Barths and Tulum.”
Sustainability and Innovation
The resort collection is crafted from natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and viscose, as well as sustainable materials. The goal is to minimize waste by avoiding excessive production. “We only produce what is necessary for our stores and orders. In the footwear sector, we follow the same philosophy, producing on demand, including for our e-commerce platform.”

“I love connecting personally with my clients. Every woman is unique, and I want to give her something that truly reflects her individuality. Additionally, I organize fashion shows that become artistic events, stimulating all the senses,” Holeva states.
Greek Cultural Influence
Each collection carries “hidden” messages inspired by Greek culture and history. Over the past five years, blue and white prints have been a constant presence, representing the Aegean Sea and the Cycladic houses. “I also enjoy diving into Greek history and incorporating mythological and architectural references into my exclusive prints.”
For Vlassi Holeva, fashion has never been just about clothing. It’s about storytelling, connecting people, and celebrating life in its most beautiful form.
